However, he does not necessarily believe in UFOs as extraterrestrials invading or visiting our world in a traditional sense.

Interpretation

We interpret Dad’s UFO interest as just that – an interest. He is not a “believer” in the traditional sense. We can relate this as more of a curiosity more than anything else.

We can estimate that his total investment in UFOs is $0, no conventions memorabilia. However, he may have invested considerable personal time looking up the latest news stories of UFO sightings in and around the United States.
